This has been bugging me for a while now if i do a update on xp download ok but when the setup runs the we bar thing goes half way and just sits there and won't finish yet when i restart the update still takes affect.

I know it's a minor problem but it's bugging me.

A few months later......Microsoft recognizes the problem.  I found it interesting to see the original post way back in February.  Any way here is microsofts explanation and solution.
